Stellar evolution book pdf
While I do love Dawkins' books, this list is way too Dawkins top-heavy. And somewhat baffling, River Out of Eden is in the top 5. Considering that this book is mostly a rehash of his previous books, I'm amazed that it's so high up on the list.

How do we fix the list? A lot of books in here twice.

I'm surprised that there were no votes for books by Alfred Russel Wallace given that he co-discovered the theory..

Yes too many Dawkins and his belief system. David Marsh and I wrote The Driving Force which Professor Clutterbuck of Oxford commented was the best book on evolution since Darwin. It described the scientific evidence behind the origin of life and the manner in which chemistry and physics were major determinants of what happened from 3.5 billion years ago today. Darwin did not actually discuss the origin of life nor the airbreathing phyla. He did however, comment that the 'Conditions of Existence' was a more powerful force than natural selection - a statement conveniently discarded later. The importance of the Driving Force is that the application of scientific evidence avoids belief systems and critically, permits conclusions to be drawn about the future. A significant part of the evidence presented refers to the origin of the brain in the sea 500 or so million years ago and its dependence today on marine food web the decline of which is a likely explanation for the rise in mental ill health. The Driving Force by David Marsh and myself was first published in 1989 , went into paper back and was re-titled 'Nutrition and Evolution' by Keats publishing, USA in 1995.
