To the question, however, yes — Adobe stores their CS serial numbers in the Windows Registry, inside a particular registry key. Unfortunately, that key contains your Adobe CS serial number in an encrypted format, meaning it's useless without some complex decrypting. The programs we've linked to will find the serial number for any recent edition of Acrobat, including Adobe Acrobat DC (Pro or Standard), Adobe Acrobat X, Adobe Acrobat 9, etc. For example, Belarc Advisor, one of our favorite key finder tools (and the program shown in the example below), will properly locate the serial number for any version.

Redeem your Student and Teacher edition purchase, convert a redemption code to a serial number, and more.

Depending on how you purchased your Adobe Student & Teacher edition product, you may have received a serial number or a redemption code.

You’ll need the serial number to register your product, update your product, upgrade to a Creative Cloud plan, or qualify for certain types of service plans. Use the redemption code—sent in less secure situations—to redeem your product license and get your serial number.

  1. Jan 08, 2018  There is no such option available to check the serial number through installed Adobe application and to check which serial number you used initially to activate the Acrobat Standard DC 12 on your machine. I have checked your records with your current Adobe ID and found that you have two licenses of Acrobat Standard DC 12 registered on your.
  2. Oct 24, 2011  I purchased my Adobe Creative Suite: Design Standard online, and I was told I would receive an email with my serial number. I have received my product in the mail, and wish to install it now. However there is no serial number on the product box, or insert envelope.

No serial number is needed for subscription or membership products. Simply sign in with your Adobe ID to activate your membership.

If you purchased a stand-alone version of a product—via a card, as a download, or on discs in a box (for example, Acrobat XI, or Photoshop Elements)—you will need your serial number to install the app. Enter your serial number when prompted during the installation of your app.

If you registered your product or downloaded it from Adobe.com, finding your serial number is simple. Adobe keeps track of it for you.

  1. To see a list of your registered products and their serial numbers, sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

    Note:

  2. Click the Planstab, and then click My products in the left pane. A list of your registered products and serial numbers is displayed.
